Woods and Water: An Interface
Woods and water--an interface of nature that's indigenous to many of the world's cultures and history. Like the mystery of night, this interface is a mystery inexplicably tied to our own nature. We want to be at its edge, dip a toe into the sheer surface of the water, and wonder at the roughness of the wooded world behind us. But the water is not a perfect mirror. The woods interrupt the water, with fallen leaves and broken limbs, almost perpetually creating the ripples and currents that texture the world reflected in the water.
